A DVD for anyone who is interested in experiencing, exploring, and
developing contemporary dance.
Part 1 deals with preparation, posture, floorwork, arms, legs, and
jumps, with instructions, movement combinations based on these
instructions, and improvisations.
Part 2 is about Forsythe's Cube, a tool for dance improvisation
developed by William Forsythe. Interesting dance movements can be
created by using points in an imaginary cube and connecting these with
the hands, feet, or any other part of the body.
The final part is about the principles that decide the quality of
movement in contemporary dance, such as gravity, balance, everyday
movements, dynamics, and improvisation."
