Four episodes exploring different artists and aspects of photography - from Advertising and Wedding photography, to the Art photography of Bronwyn Wright and Darren Siwes. Useful as stimulus material, as well as informative of photographic techniques and themes. Curricular Links to Secondary Visual Arts and Photographic and Digital Media.

Episode 1 - Melbourne-based advertising photographer Rod Schaffer is considered one of the country's best in his field. We follow the creative process involved in producing a visually eye-catching image for a billboard advertisement, using various focus, camera angle and lighting techniques. Schaffer also outlines the final retouching and graphic design methods used to complete the photograph.

Episode 2 - We look at the creation of a photograph for an art competition, by Darwin-based artist/photographer Bronwyn Wright, from conception to completion. Wright's shooting location is "The Swamp" on Darwin's outskirts, chosen for its patterns and light, and 360 degree views. She discusses the use of abandoned burnt-out cars in her portraits, which she believes reflects the cultural environment as well as the physical surroundings of the location.

Episode 3 - Darren Siwes photographs South Australian landmarks and buildings, using the process of long exposure, reinforcing his artistic concepts of playing with time. We see him composing a self-portrait in front of a rusty country shed at night, placing particular emphasis on the subtleties of lighting and shadow.

Episode 4 -  Yervant Zanazanian is an award-winning international wedding and portrait photographer, who we follow as he shoots a wedding in Melbourne. He discusses the various aspects of wedding photography, from establishing a rapport with clients, to his preference for digital photography over film, and his use of digital editing techniques such as Photoshop.
